Harvestin' the County Lunch '06
On August 22nd, 2006 close to 400 people gathered on Main Street Bloomfield for a 100% County lunch. With the road closed to traffic, tables set up along the street and farmer’s stalls lining the curb, we had beautiful weather, great company and delicious food. The lunch was an opportunity to meet farmers and learn about where food in the County comes from.
Harvestin' the County Lunch Menu:
Everything was prepared beautifully by Celebrations Catering and Suzanne Pasternack.
Harley Guernsey barbequed the beef right outside Bloomfield Town Hall; it smelled delicious and tasted even better.

We appreciate all the effort our exhibitors put into their displays for the
Harvestin’ the County Lunch. By creating engaging and interesting displays they helped consumers put a face to their food! Farmers shared their way of life; the vitality of County agriculture was obvious through the colourful and bountiful displays. The lunch provided an opportunity to meet and talk with farmers in Prince Edward County. Eating locally-grown is all about supporting local farmers and knowing where your food comes from. As one grower says, “it’s a win-win situation.”
